My wife Patrice and I are original Burning Tree owners. We moved here from our home in the Royden Neighborhood in 2002.
Burning Tree Challenges
As our community ages, it faces several very large capital projects- roof repair, landscape renewal, possible repaving, etc. Accomplishing those effectively while keeping residents’ fees manageable requires many decisions to be made correctly and cost effectively.
Not for profit Board experience
I am a past Commodore and Board Member of the Catawba Yacht Club on Lake Wylie, NC
Corporate Experience
I have over 35 years’ experience in a variety of corporate settings, including:
Advisory Services to distressed Companies
I assisted the management of client companies who were experiencing serious financial or management difficulties. My activities included helping them to modify their strategies to grow revenues and reduce costs, take corrective actions, negotiate with lenders to modify loan terms and secure alternative financing. I also gave expert testimony in over 20 bankruptcy cases, on behalf of both debtors and creditors.
Corporate Officer
I have held executive positions including CEO, President and Chief Financial Officer in several corporations, both publicly traded and privately held. The companies operated in a variety of industries including packaging, outsourced marketing services, power generation and utilities and medical waste disposal.
